Surakarta – Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has once again achieved international recognition as a team of UMS students won the Gold Medal at the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2026, held in Malaysia. This remarkable achievement highlights the excellence of UMS students in innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, demonstrating their ability to compete successfully on the global stage.
The award-winning team consisted of Taqiyyah Nurul ‘Azzah from the Physiotherapy Study Program, Irfan Malik Tamroini from the Islamic Education Study Program, Hanin Shohwati Muthi’ah and Sri Kusuma Dewi from the Pharmacy Study Program, as well as Muhammad Raihan Arrasyid and Alfa Utami from the Psychology Study Program.
This achievement demonstrates that interdisciplinary collaboration can produce innovations that are not only creative but also recognized internationally for their value and impact.
